Join Us, Get Involved with SurfAid September Starting Tuesday

As Spring gets ready to... spring, so does SurfAid September.
It's a whole month dedicated building awareness and raising funds to assist in improving the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in some the world's best surf locations including the Mentawai, Nias, Telos, Banyaks, Sumbawa and Sumba.
#SurfAidSeptember is an opportunity to help others by raising funds and awareness for our life-saving mother and child health programs. It can be as simple as sharing our story on social media, to catching a wave in our honor. Throughout September SurfAid will also be hosting events and initiatives to get the word out including #30waves4september and the Billabong SurfAid Cup.
#30Waves4September
The Surfing World Magazine team pledge to catch one wave a day for the whole month of September. You can too. Check out how to set up a fundraising page to support SurfAid throughout your month of waves.
Editor Vaughn Blakey, Creative Director Danny Johnson and Art Director Corbin Nash surf every day. Now they're under pressure to maintain their stoke every day in September as part of #30Waves4September. Follow their progress on Instagram @surfingworld and @coastalwatch.
These guys shred, and we will be treated to some pretty special moments between Tuesday 1st September and Wednesday 30th September.

The Annual SurfAid Cup
The 2015 Billabong SurfAid Cup surfing contest raises direct funds for SurfAid. The tag-team event held at Queenscliff Beach in Sydney will be on Friday 18th September. Each team consists of four surfers plus one pro/legend surfer from the selection pool.
Team members must be either from the same company, profession, industry or trade. The top fundraising teams get to choose their pro surfer in order of their team’s fundraising results. Each team must reach a fundraising goal of $5,000. The team that raises the most funds walks away with the SurfAid Cup fundraising trophy.
Billabong SurfAid Cup will also be held in Malibu at Surfrider Beach on Saturday 12th September and will include legends Donavon Frankenreiter, Greg Long, Damien Hobgood, Matt McCabe, Mike McCabe, Allen Sarlo, Jo Jo Roper, Colton Sarlo, Jen Smith, Anthony Petruso, and Strider Wasilewski.
Support Team Coastalwatch / Surfing World to help change the lives of people living in some of our best surf locations!
