Sydney regional surf report: 6.25am Tuesday, 1 December: Trailing SE swell has hung in overnight, still pulsing around the chest to shoulder high range across the region. There's a bit of texture on the surface, compliments of light NNE winds, but otherwise it's pretty clean - particularly at the more south-facing spots. The tide is on its way to a 9.30am high, so probably best to get in sooner rather than later.

Rest of Day Outlook: SE swell will steadily fade as NE windswell builds this afternoon, fuelled by freshening north to NE winds picking up to 20 to 30 knots. Conditions will steadily deteriorate as the northerlies pick up, so aim for sheltered northern corners and south-facing stretches this arvo. Low tide is at 4.08pm. Have a great day.
