SURF OUTLOOK

Short range NE swell continues to run at a consistent 2 to 3ft+ exposed QLD coasts, but conditions will once again be left wanting under moderate NNE to NE winds; initially around 10 to 20 knots, freshening to 15 to 25 knots, so a sheltered northern corner will be your best bet.

Swell is on the rise unfortunately so is the wind. Open beaches holding some solid waves but a blown out mess unless you get out during or behind one of the expected rain periods/showers. Northern corners of the coast like A-bay,Sunshine and Kawana will offer the better rides and a little protection from the strong winds. Northeast onshore winds into early and forecasted to increase throughout the day and afternoon. Waves on all coast headlands and points though very wind affected. Enjoy
