SURF OUTLOOK

Still energetic easterly swell ranges from 4 to 6ft+ exposed beaches this morning, gradually settling during the afternoon. Expect more accessible 3 to 4ft+ waves along the sheltered points and inside the bays and conditions are best early under light S to SSW inshore, turning SSE/ SE 15 to 20 knots and easing later.

    Updated 16 Oct 2018 @ 5:10 AM (local)

Large surf conditions continue today with waves up to 6ft along the open beaches. Smaller cleaner waves on the points, with Noosa's points offering the better conditions. Winds are strong early out of the SE and will ease through the afternoon. Surf conditions will start to settle down over the next couple of days. Lots of storm water run off , with the water rather dirty along the Maroochy to Mooloolaba stretch. Enjoy your day in the waves. Spinksy.
