Kirk Bierke Shapes

If there's a name in board shaping you should know about, it's Kirk Bierke. Father to big wave surfer and 2016 Red Bull Cape Fear champion Russell and rising star Claire, Kirk designs and shapes boards out of Ulladulla on the NSW South Coast.
Over the last 36 years Bierke has shaped thousands of boards right across the globe; California, Hawaii, Japan, and Australia, with trips to Indo, Mexico, Costa Rica, and New Zealand, he says are important to try out his designs in the different surf conditions.
His history living and shaping on the North Shore of Oahu has given him a dynamic depth and understanding of creating some incredible boards. Despite his obvious talent for big wave boards, Bierke these days is producing a collection of boards that look and feel great in all conditions including; groms, shortboards, step-ups, semi-guns and fun boards.
