COASTALWATCH | LISTS

Welcome to yet another week of locking down at home in the bizarre life that is 2020. The good news is that the measures Australians have been committing to have been working – self isolating and social distancing, in everyday life and in our oceanic pursuits, has turned the curve from up to down. The bad news is that we've got a few more weeks of this lifestyle, at the very least. So as long as we're living like this we're going to continue to pull together things to check out and keep the stoke burning. Noosa looking like a dream wave pool, an all-time rock-off fail, some classic reading from Coastalwatch's archives, and perhaps the greatest Mick Fanning web clip of all time. We hope you enjoy. Stay home, shred responsibly, stay safe, and do your best to stay stoked. – CW

A Classic Read

They All Retire In The End – Nick Carroll On Joel Parkinson

"Let’s just think about Parko for a moment...

So the men are done with J-Bay. The Facebook Transition sent the fanbase into hysterics, loud enough to almost trump Filipe’s win. I kinda feel like it means some things, but I’m not sure what.

But underneath the hysterics, something real happened. Joel and Kelly are retiring, and it can’t just pass, this moment."

Read it here.
