COASTALWATCH | LISTS

It's the seventh week of that self-isolating, social distancing lockdown life but, you know, who is counting, what even is time any more? The nice news is that as the days grow wintery this month, the vibe is getting brighter. Restrictions getting loosened is on the way, and surfing, done responsibly, has remained a constant saviour throughout the challenge. So as we push on through to the next stage, we've dug up five quick things from the Coastalwatch archives to keep the stoke burning – from an all-time Kirra swell out of the vault, to the history of rock offs. These Exercises Will Get You Paddling Harder Better Faster Stronger

The internet is aflush with home workout videos to help everyone get their daily exercise, but when it comes to workouts designed specifically for surfers, the options get a little thinner. That's where this series by Cris Mills, the Surf Strength Coach, are perfect for us. If you can't surf, you might as well do something that will help your surfing for when you can. This video focusses specifically on paddling, which is probably the easiest thing you can work on out of the water, to get you more waves when you are in the water, right
