Extra Sydney Surf Reports, April 20, 2010

20 Apr 2010 0 Share

Bondi, Manly, Cronulla, Snapper and D'bah are by far our 5 most popular camera’s. In order to provide some bonus pics and reports we've chosen to link with and support a bunch of smaller, localised, independent sites (friends of Coastalwatch) to both provide a little diversity and to support local grass roots sites. It’s important to note that these aren’t our official reports that we post at 7.00 am daily on our respective camera pages. Most major news outlets and smaller websites use our reports. This extra service is all about supporting the up and coming locals at some of Australia’s most popular surfing spots. Supplied daily by our friends at thesealife.com.au, frothers.com.au, Sproutdaily.com and weekly by bluesnapper.com.au and www.perfectwavegallery.com. Any forecasting has been sourced from Coastalwatch's Head Swell Forecaster Ben Macartney. The daily surf report info is compiled after they check the official coastalwatch reports by Johnny Charlton, Ben Horvath and The Captain. Tuesday April 20, 2010

Cronulla - The Sea Life

Moretumn = more Autumn. probably the lamest one I've come up with yet...
But it's true. It was another classic Autumn morning. Perfect sunshine, perfect sunrise, perfect wind, or lack there of. 1-2ft of swell up the Wanda / Greenhills end of Cronulla, a day for the logs for sure.

Manly - Sprout

Glorious start to the day this morning! April seems to have a pretty polished act at the moment; sunrises, sunsets, warm cloudless days and nights just cool enough for your doona. 10 out of 10 I dare say?

There weren't too many takers at first light this morning. Let's face it, the swell ain't too much to get excited about but, if you weight up the variables, you'd be mad to sleep in. Miss K was up sharing a peak with Jason and there was a small flotila of SUP's drifting around the fringes. Monty came out later on his Gato Heroi fresh off the glasser’s rack. If the smile he had on his dial up in the carpark was any indication I'd say Monty was digging!
