COASTALWATCH | BALI, INDO SURF FORECAST

Forecast Issued Tuesday, 19 September, 2017

September is the month that just keeps on giving across Indonesia. Following weeks of pumping surf under light offshore/ glassy conditions, the second half of the month sees more of the same. Along with much lighter SE tradewinds, the key feature differentiating the September’s run of swell from that of the winter months is a string of weaker, but closer range swell sources. The upshot is a consistent run of mid-period SSW groundswells overlapping throughout the remainder of September – most of it originating directly south of the Archipelago.
