COASTALWATCH | WORLD SURFARIS

What an amazing run of waves we have seen across the Indian Ocean. The Indo swell charts have been lighting up screens and those of us lucky enough to get a leave pass would have scored what can only be described as one of the best starts to a Sumatran season in recent history.

The folks at World Surfaris and their new premier surf vessel, Star Koat 2 capitalised on the epic start to the Mentawai season, here is their review of April 2019:

We had a blast on all four of our April trips. The Mentawais and the Telos were the best many of us have ever seen!

Four epic swells, all from different directions and light winds were the perfect combination that promoted great surfing conditions in a wide variety of regions all month long.

In the Mentawais we surfed waves such as Telescopes, Ebay, The Hole, Greenbush, HTs, Rags Right and others in their best conditions making use of our surf guides' local knowledge moving the boat according to any change on wind/swell direction.

Up north, in Telos, the guests on StarKoat2 surfed many uncrowded waves just by themselves, including some secret spots that only our guests on board get to know!

Looks like a great season ahead…

There are still 2019 and 2020 availabilities and this is the time to lock it in at the best possible rate. Contact the team at World Surfaris for further details.
